I am a lecturer in the department of information technology, University of Kerbala, Iraq. I have a Ph.D. degree in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), the School of Computer Science, Australia. My research study focuses on designing technology for vulnerable communities including refugees, people with disabilities, children with special needs, and vulnerable women.  In part of my PhD study, I have conducted an ethnographic study that involved contextual inquiry, cultural probes, participatory design, and speculative design approach to design technology for refugees and asylum seekers to support their resettlement and empowering their social inclusion in Australia.  Additionally, I have worked as a research assistant at the school of public health and social work, QUT on understanding the influence of social media in the relationship between refugee parents and their children.
